VW factory
The VW factory in Września started the production of the new generation of Crafter vans in October 2016. The plant employs 3000 people.
The investment’s cost was over EUR 800 million, which makes it one of the largest foreign investments in Poland in the last decade. The area of the plant is 220 hectares, which is equivalent to 300 football fields. Among the manufacturing plant’s units are body shop hall, paint shop, assembly hall and delivery park, as well as special vehicles body plant and pilot manufacturing plant. The manufacturing capacity of the new plant is up to 100,000 vehicles per year.
